Home after all

Well the best news is that the Dr. said I could go home - actually to MY home NOT a nursing home. I need to promise him there will be someone with me for 3 weeks - but if I can do that he is find sending me home and having home health come in daily to dress my wound.

I am thrilled about this news as you can imagine - I have the first week covered - but my sister is working on finding me someone for the rest of the time. Anyone want an all expenses paid trip to NM? lol

Feeling pretty good today - the congestion stuff has pretty much cleared up, the view from my new room is great, lunch was almost edible, and now home - yea!!

Hope to see you all soon.
Chuck

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thrilled for you......light at the end of the tunnel. I hope you can round up a crew of friends/family for the next 3 weeks to help you at home so you can bust out of that dungeon. Too bad I'm not a SWF or you know I'd be there! Susan told me of your estimated weight loss!!! Way to go Chuck.
Being away from home at the wedding meant paying for it when I got home!! Things are calmer now, I'll be in touch. Did you get the 2nd card I sent. I hope it made it to your room before you moved or it went to never neverland!
Much love and prayers,
Melissa

Tomorrow I go to Lubbock to have the pleasure of caring for Chuck until after Thanksgiving. Yes, there will be a Thanksgiving Dinner. Us, gastric bypass people eat real food and have real lives. I am so glad that I have the time and ability to be with Chuck during this time. He will heal so much better at home. Not because of the care but because of the healing conditions. We welcome guest. Love JC
